This is a difficult time. The world is riddled with anxiety, fear, and a deadly disease that has radically interrupted the daily life of nearly everything and everyone. So, for the whole month of April, The Porkchop Express presents: THE QUARANTINE STREAM, a 30 day series designed to help shine a light on a film that is worthy of your time and might very well be the distraction you need. In an effort to keep it fresh, we will be alternating between the big three services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu) and trying to keep the choices as varied as possible.
For Day Thirteen, let’s keep the Canadian theme going with this genre-crossing buddy cop flick. Now available on Netflix!
Bon Cop, Bad Cop (2006)
This movie’s bilingual. It’s a bit of a police thriller with a lot of culture clash comedy thrown in. Jurisdiction conflicts force a policeman from Toronto to partner up with a Montreal cop and hilarity ensues. I don’t know how funny this one will be for those outside Canada but it broke Box Office records up here. Plus if you really like it there’s a sequel Bon Cop, Bad Cop 2 (2017) where the duo get to travel to the USA.
